Belize

Closer than you think

The small country of Belize is located in the east of Central America, bordering with Mexico, Guatemala and the Caribbean Sea. The thick, green jungles on the west part of the country turn into a beautiful, white sandy shore line, which also accommodates the second largest barrier reef in the world. Warm water and steady currents keep the walls and coral gardens full of color and life. Sea turtles, reef sharks and Eagle rays are a common sight, along side barracudas, stingrays, angelfish, giant moray eels, triggerfish, lobsters and others. You can also swim with Whale sharks passing by on their migration during the spring months. But the real, awe inspiring attractions are the gigantic reef formations. Walls that plunge thousands of feet, hundreds of meters into the deep clear waters, caverns and swim-throughs covered with coral and, of course, the famous Blue Hole make Belize one of the greatest dive destinations.
