Warm, clear waters abundant with tropical and pelagic species
Belize is one of the most famous dive destinations world wide. With its impressive walls, variety of life forms and the magnificent Great Blue Hole there's no wonder why. Enjoy these amazing sights and experience the pleasures of SCUBA diving in the pristine Caribbean sea on a luxury liveaboard trip with Belize Aggressor IV.
The Caribbean sea has so much to offer in the way of underwater ecosystems and unique phenomenon. While SCUBA diving in Belize you will be able to witness some of these amazing features. Like the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, the second largest barrier reef in the world. Decorated with plenty of sponges, soft and hard coral and hundreds of marine life species, the reef and the special formations it embodies are a sight to behold.
One of the best dive sites in the world, according to renown oceanographer Jacques Cousteau, is the Great Blue Hole on the Belize barrier reef. This awe inspiring geological spectacle was formed tens of thousands of years ago, when a sinkhole exposed a large cave system that used to be dry, and was immersed by rising sea levels. At the mouth of the hole lays a beautiful and lush reef that ends abruptly with a huge drop-off and a stone wall that plunges to 124 meters/407 feet. The dive plan will take you into the depth of the cave to see ancient stalactites and stalagmites, while reef sharks and other reef dwellers circle above. Undoubtedly a dive to remember.
