The vertical, huge walls; the clear, turquoise water; and of course, the amazing Blue Hole have made Belize a prime SCUBA diving destination, with some beautiful and surprising sights lying under the water surface. Join the Belize Aggressor III for a liveaboard dive trip that will take you to the best spots in the region.
The second largest barrier reef in the world, the Mesoamerican Barrier reef, lays in the Caribbean sea, between the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico and Honduras. About 300 out of the 900 km stretch of coral reef are just off of the Belize coastline. Which make it one of the best places for exploring and enjoying a SCUBA diving vacation.
The currents along the magnificent walls of the Belize barrier reef keep the waters clear and the visibility great, as well as bringing nutrients and life that sustain the local ecosystem. A variety of hard and soft coral, sponges and over 500 species of fish inhabit the UNESCO world heritage site, among unique and unmatched seascapes and formations.
One of the most famous dive sites in the world, the Great Blue Hole is situated in Belize, and is one of the stops on the Belize Aggressor III liveaboard itinerary. The geological phenomenon was created was created tens of thousands of years ago, when sea levels were much lower, and evidence in the form of stalactites and stalagmites can be seen during the dive in this fantastic location. Sharks and tropical fish are often sighted on the shallow drop-off reef and a large amount of coral is found in and around the hole.
