The Bay Islands of Honduras are famed for their marvelous underwater sights and formations. Walls of colossal sizes, sheer drop-offs, swim throughs, mysterious wrecks, massive sponges and reefs make the diving here well known all around the world. Roatan is the Largest of the islands, and the base for the fabulous Roatan Aggressor liveaboard yacht.
During the 8 day/7 night scuba diving itinerary the luxurious boat will take you to the best dive sites around a few islands and cays. Around Roatan you'll go to sites like Mary's Place and Taviana's Well where the lush reef is home to many turtles, octopus, crabs and lobsters. Here you'll also visit some fascinating wrecks like the Odyssey and the Aquila.
Utila will hold another significant part of your trip. Here you'll visit sites that swarm with life; schools of jacks, creole wrasse, barracuda, tangs, eels, crabs, octopus, stingrays, turtles, and even pelagic species, like Eagle rays, sharks, dolphins and Whale sharks. Dive sites include Black Hills, CJ's Drop-off, Jack Neil Point, Cannery Bank, Hawksbill Bank and Halliburton Wreck.
A couple of farther cays and remote sea mounts are also included in the rout. Cayos Cochinos, where incredible macro life forms are abundant along side any reef fish imaginable, sharks and barracudas. And, Coco's Sea Mount raises from the deep ocean to a shallow depth of 40 ft, and experiences some amazingly clear water and a large variety of coral and fish.
The itinerary of the Roatan Aggressor scuba diving liveaboard trips usually start on a Saturday, with check-in between 3:30 pm and 6 pm at the boat, which will be docked at Romeo's Restaurant in French Harbor, Roatan. From Sunday morning until Friday afternoon, all you'll do is dive, eat and sleep. A perfect vacation! The dive site schedule is normally as follows -
Sun, West End of Roatan;
Mon, West End or South Side of Roatan;
Tue, Seamounts & Cayos Cochinos;
Wed, Utila;
Thu, Utila/Roatan;
Fri, 2 dives at Roatan. After lunch the ship will return to dock and an afternoon cocktail party will be held. Dinner will be ashore, in a local restaurant (the only meal not provided on the trip).
Check out will be on Saturday morning, by 8 am. The crew will help with organizing transportation to the airport or to the Aggressor host hotel, Clarion Suites at Pineapple Villas in French Harbor.
