The Egyptian Red Sea holds many historical ship wrecks from many different eras, in locations and depths excellent for SCUBA Diving. The Thistlegorm wreck is undoubtedly one of the most famous ones. Along side mesmerizing and teeming reefs, full of fish and coral of thousands of different species, the wrecks give SCUBA diving in the Red Sea a mystical and fascinating atmosphere.
On this wonderful, King Snefro 5 mini dive-safari you'll get to see both the amazing Ras Mohammed marine reserve, with marvelous reefs and marine life, and two historical, interesting ship wrecks.
Embarkation and on-board check-in starts on the first evening of your trip, after a complimentary transfer to the boat from the Sharm El Sheikh airport or your Sharm El Sheikh hotel. You'll spend the first night at the New Marina (Wataneya) port, and cruising will start early on the following morning.
Your first dive will be a check dive at Temple or Ras Katy dive sites. From there you'll continue to Jackfish Alley to dive in beautiful caves and swim-throughs. The third dive of the day, and the first night dive of the trip, will be at The Alternatives, a series of 7 pinnacles who host a few residential Leopard sharks.
The second morning on-board the King Snefro 5 will take you to the famous wreck of the Thistlegorm. At least two dives are planned here, with a penetration dive as an option. For the afternoon and night dives, your liveaboard will take you to Small Passage on the Sha'ab Mahmoud reef system. Here, 2 channels cut through the reef to connect between the lagoon and the open ocean.
On the last morning you will reach the 1876 ship wreck of Dunraven, an old, wooden boat filled with thousands of glass fish. Next dive will be at Shark and Yolanda reef, the famed reef wall of the southern tip of Sinai. And, for the last dive of the trip, you'll stop at either Ras Zatar, Ras Ghozlani or Ras Um Sid.
Complimentary transfers will be provided from the marina to your next destination in Sharm El Sheikh.

Important info
All foreign liveaboard guests must acquire a full Egyptian visa prior or when entering the country. No passengers are allowed on-board without a proper visa. It is highly recommended that all guests check their eligibility with an Egyptian embassy or consulate plenty of time before trip date to avoid any inconveniences.
All divers must show a valid proof of at least Advanced Open Water certification, 20 or more logged dives and last dive dated in the last year before departure. A SCUBA refresher course is necessary for divers who don't have any logged dives in the past year. Course are available on-board for an extra charge.
Free of charge transport to/from the ship is provided on day of embarkation and disembarkation. Transfers are available only in Sharm El Sheikh. Pick-up locations are at your hotel lobby or in front of the arrivals hall at Sharm El Sheikh airport (SSH). The complimentary transfer includes the port fee and permissions necessary to enter the marina. If you arrange your own transport, you will have to pay this fee separately.
All divers will be asked to sign a medical and liability release forms before departure. Any guest with a medical problem will be required to have a doctor's release form stating it is safe for them to dive, signed by a doctor prior to arrival on the boat.
It is strongly advised that every passenger holds adequate travel insurance, covering SCUBA diving, medical incidents, baggage loss and travel changes/cancellations. Insurance covering SCUBA diving accidents is mandatory and must be shown at check-in.
It is mandatory for each diver to have a Surface Marker Bouy on each dive and a flash light on each night dive. It is requested that each diver has a dive computer. Decompression dives and solo dives are prohibited.
The itinerary is an example and is subject to change according to weather, safety and local authorities. All dives are subject to change according to divers experience, safety and water conditions.
King Snefro 5 accepts payment in cash bills only. No coins, credit cards or cheques . Acceptable currencies are Euro, US Dollar, Egyptian Pound and British Pound Sterling.
The use of drones is not permitted in Egypt and drones will be confiscated at the airport.
Cancellations Policy
Cancellations received 5 weeks or more prior to departure will incur a fee of 25% of total trip cost Cancellations received 4-5 weeks prior to departure will incur a fee of 35% of total trip cost. Cancellations received 2-4 weeks prior to departure will incur a fee of 50% of total trip cost. And, cancellations received less the 2 weeks prior to departure will not be refunded.
