Looking out the airplane window when flying into the Maldives will prepare you for the unbelievable spectacles that await under the water. The beautifully defined rings of the 26 atolls that hold the Maldivian islands and cays, can be clearly seen from above, through the clear, light-blue sea. Each of these atolls is covered with an amazing array of coral and can provide some amazing SCUBA diving. Whether in their lagoons, on the outer walls or in the connecting channels, you can expect to see outstanding life forms.
The numerous dive sites and the distance between them make liveaboard itineraries vary in areas and extent. On this Maldives Aggressor II 7 nights itinerary, you will get to experience some of the best dive sites in the north-central area of the country, starting and ending in the capital, Male. During your SCUBA diving liveaboard trip you will dive in the north and the south parts of the famous Ari atoll, Rasdhoo atoll, Vaavu atoll and both north and south of Male atoll. Dive sites are carefully picked according to weather and clarity of the water, and allow you to enjoy diverse and exciting, different kinds of diving. Thrilling drift dives in channels, fascinating wreck dives, reefs, walls and pinnacles teeming with coral and fish, and world-famous night dives.
Sea-life in the Maldives is also extremely diverse and great encounters are guaranteed. From colorful Nudibranchs, pipefish, shrimps and crabs, to eels, anemone-fish, parrot-fish and other reef inhabitants, to many different types of sharks, eagle rays, turtles, tuna and even bigger scaled manta rays and Whale sharks.
Your exciting and luxurious vacation on board the SCUBA diving liveaboard the Maldives Aggressor II will start on Sunday afternoon, with a complimentary, short water-taxi ride to the ship, from the Velana International Airport in Male. Check in is by 5pm and the boat is scheduled to leave for the first overnight anchorage soon after. Diving will begin on Monday morning of the trip and will go on with approximately 3-4 dives per day until Saturday noon. In the afternoon, after your last dives, a free tour of Male city is offered to visit some of the important sights of the capital and dinner will be at a beach front restaurant at about $35 per person (this is the only meal not included in the charter). On Sunday morning, after breakfast, check out will be at 8am and complimentary transfers back to the airport will be provided.
