Calm, clear water and up to 12 shark sightings in one dive
The best place in the world to dive with Great White Sharks. Calm waters, great visibility, temperate weather and high chances of shark encounters every day. Dive with the Sharks in a submersible cage or an open surface cage.
Guadalupe Island is known as one of the best places worldwide for Great White Sharks diving. The islands coastline is 25 miles of beautiful rocky cliffs, under a lush forest, giving it a feel of a dreamy tropical island. It is also home for at least 242 individually identified Great White Sharks. So, it is safe to say you'll see sharks every day. Dive conditions are also usually fair, with tranquil water, high underwater visibility of 100-150 ft and comfortable weather.
The best time of year to see the sharks is between July and November. In July and August we usually see more male sharks, and groups of smaller sharks, and the "big momma" female sharks usually show up between September and November. At this time of year the water temperature is around 70F/21C and the visibility is 30-40m/100-130ft.
